I have gotten multiple services here and each one has been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and professional.
After reading some of these reviews and now experiencing the salon myself, I must address the negative mention of "hair on the floor" and "hectic atmosphere." At no time during my visit did I feel stressed by the busy salon environment. Nearly every seat was filled, there was friendly chatter between clients and stylists, and soft contemporary music playing in the background. To me, a little hair on the floor means that the services are in demand and people are satisfied...which isn't an accident. As I recall past experiences at several other area salons, Fringe sets the bar. No stuffy atmosphere, however the service and professionalism were impressive. My stylist, though having only a year of professional experience, began promptly, took her time getting acquainted with me and my needs, and gave me the biggest bang for my buck. I was cordially offered refreshments a few times during my visit and my comfort was assured by every employee I encountered. My stylist offered free touch ups/ tweaks if I needed them in the next week or so. I understand that not everyone can be pleased but I can't find one bad thing to say about Fringe. I shall return!
I left a very positive review of this salon recently, but my last experience was not so positive. I didn't have my usual stylist, and here's my main issue: I don't feel valued or remembered by the front desk staff as a regular customer at Fringe. My usual stylist, Jennifer S., is wonderful and remembers me every time. She does an amazing job. However, I have not been impressed by the lack of customer appreciation when setting an appointment and right after paying for the service. It's just an unenthusiastic, "ok, you owe this much today" from the receptionist. It seems like there are rarely any appreciation days or efforts to say thank you to long term clients. I've been going here for a couple years now, but you would never know it based on how they greet me. The girl who cut my hair last time did a decent job, but I felt she had a bit of an attitude and didn't go the extra creative mile like Jennifer does. I wasn't 100% happy with my cut, and I thought perhaps the front desk would have picked up on that before I left. I gave a short "no" when they asked if I wanted to schedule my next appointment. I can't believe they didn't ask about my experience after that. It's difficult to schedule an appointment on short notice with this salon, and they aren't friendly over the phone. I understand they are busy and fill up quickly, but I decided to go somewhere else today for all the aforementioned reasons. The place I booked at was much friendlier to me, and I've only been there once! While I love the work they do at Fringe, a business should realize that every customer counts and treat them with more gratitude and familiarity. I am conflicted as to whether I should go there again; it all depends on whether or not they can show that my business matters.
Every time I have been to Fringe has been a positive experience, from the front desk to my hair stylist and everyone in between! I even had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the skin care and makeup girls and am so impressed with what they know! The atmosphere is professional yet relaxed and the service is outstanding ❤️
I saw Becca today, she is so sweet and listened to what I wanted. She is very professional and great at what she does!! Thank you! I love my haircut:)
